Kathy Sledge

Kathy and her sisters began singing in their church at very young ages. By the time they hit their teens, they had perfected their harmonious sound and were signed to the Money Back label. Atlantic Records came calling, however, and they foursome soon found success on the national scene. Hearing such an earthy and powerful voice come from a baby-faced teenager surprised many music lovers and Kathy’s exuberant personality won the hearts of millions. Sister Sledge enjoyed success with such hits as “He’s the Greatest Dancer”, “Love Don’t Go Through No Changes On Me”, “Got to Love Somebody” and – of course – “We Are Family”. Kathy embarked upon a solo career in 1992, signing to Epic Records. Her debut release Heart, featured the title track and “Take Me Back to Love Again” – both hits on the dance charts. Kathy has recorded with Elton John, Staci Lattisaw, Sylk 130 and others. For more information, visit Kathy's website.
